I was painting this dramatic painting of a British Naval Captain with a stormy background, but I decided to bail on that painting and focus on this instead. I'll be continue to working on it tonight but not sure how much more I'll get done.I want the background loose and not detailed so the figured will stand out, as well as the white on the uniforms.

I was trying to mimic the ivory miniature paintings. This is painted on a digital canvas of 3X4 inches.
Didn't take that long at all few hours max for the painting itself, kind of fun since I was trying to paint it smooth with little detail or textures.
Frames design I made up for fun, not sure how 18th century it is in nature. Ones I were looking at online were late 18th century (so claiming the website)

Character from the educational graphic novel Loyalty & Liberty I work on, normally seen as a cat.

1775 British Marines, I will be painting this.

CaithSith are a Celtic cat demon I always have had a fascination with.
They basically are -large- fairy cats, always black in colouration that can shape shift, often are malicious to humans. I state large since few myths/folklore I've read has them horse to dog to little larger than a normal cat.
I like the one in the brooding in the rain. I often draw this cait sith more Maine coon in appearance.
